Item Details
A hand knotted Kazak nomadic kilim. This rug features a color palette of orange, black, brown, pink, red, purple, and gold. It has a series of octagonal memling-style guls in the center of the rug, surrounded by branched and ‘x’ forms on an abrashed red-orange field. It has a running dog primary border, surrounded by a highly stylized floral elements in the field colors. It has double overcast edges with dyed wool warp fringe, and a braided warp fringe across each end. Unmarked.

Condition is consistent with age and use. There is slight staining throughout the rug and some fraying around the edges.
