1952 Yale Ceramic Beer Stein

A 1952 Yale ceramic beer stein. This beer stein was made by Eric Mihan who produced a number of beer steins for various colleges during 1952. The beer stein features a gray bulldog over blue with a banner that reads ‘Yale University’, a clocktower with an array of trees, and the Yale crest with a banner which reads ‘LUXETVERITAS’. The top and lower portion of the stein’s body is a cream color, with a carved handle and a silver tone lid with scrolling foliate bas-reliefs along its edges and a fleur de lis accent which opens the lid. The stein is marked ‘Made in Germany Copyright 1952 By Eric P. Mihan 1 4’ on its underside.
