Chinese Teapot and Insulated Cups
Item Details
A Chinese ceramic tea service including a teapot and six double-walled tea cups. The teapot is glazed yellow inside and has a blue ocean scene with two yellow enamel dragons with gold highlights chasing a red pearl of wisdom. The dragon decor is repeated on the teapot lid. The cups were potted with two walls with an air space to provide insulation for the hot liquid. They are glazed blue on the inside and have the same dragon over water design externally. Each piece is marked in red overglaze with four Chinese characters inside a square.
Condition
No chips, cracks or crazing.
