Leonetto Cappiello Antique Advertisement "L. Segol Fils"
Item Details
An antique halftone and block relief advertisement after an original 1901 poster designed by very well-listed French and Italian designer Leonetto Cappiello (1875 – 1942). The piece advertises L. Segol & Fils wines, and depicts a man pouring a glass of red wine for a woman in a stunning pale pink gown. The advertisement is signed in-plate by the artist to the lower right, and the artist’s name is printed in fine text to the lower margin. The piece is matted in white and presented behind glass in a wooden frame with cast olive embellishments, silver tone finish, and a hanging wire. A sticker from Garden City Galleries Ltd. is attached to the verso.
