T. Sutherland Hand-colored Lithographs on Paper After Henry Alken
Item Details
A series of T. Sutherland lithographs on paper after Henry Alken (1810 – 1894). This group includes three hand-colored prints on heavy rag paper after Alken’s Going to Cover and Breaking Cover. The series includes two copies of Going to Cover. Each print features an embossed plate mark with inscriptions in the lower margins denoting title, publisher, and artist.
Condition
- to fair; smudges visible on prints; pencil inscription to lower right margin; edgewear; some light discoloration and color fading; slight warping to paper edges.

- measurements of sheet; visible image measures: 16.25" W x 8.0" H; each print measures roughly the same.
