A collection of hand-colored engravings of hunting scenes. Featured are two works after Henry Alken (1785-1851) titled Breaking Cover and Full Cry. Both pieces depict a hunting party consisting of horses and dogs in a wooded area. Also included is a piece after James Pollard (1792-1867) titled St. Albans Grand Steple Chase. Below each print are inscription denoting the titled, artist, and publisher. Works are presented unframed on heavy rag paper.
Condition
- pencil inscription seen on bottom right corner; residue found to lower margins of Full Cry and St. Albans; edge wear to paper.

- measures sheet size for Alken’s work; plate size measures approximately identical for both: 17.25" w x 10" h; plate size for St. Albans measures: 18.25" w x 13.5" h.
