Thos Blundell Sterling Silver Pocket Watch

An Antique English sterling silver pocket watch by Thomas Blundell with a makers mark on the case for Ralph Samuel (c. 1856). The watch front cover has an engraved shield a field of guilloché which is copied on the reverse. This watch requires a key to wind.

Dial: White clock face, black Roman numerals, slender gold tone hands, a seconds sub-dial, and imprinted with Thos Blundell Liverpool’ n black.
Movement: mechanical
Serial Number: 1Y1216
Markings On Inside: Lion Passant, Sword and 3 Sheaves in shield (Chester city mark), Script ‘S’ in rounded square (looks like 1856), ‘RS’ in an impressed oval, and the serial number. The Lion Passant and ‘U’ marks are impressed on the knob.
