English Sterling Silver Pocket Watch

An antique English sterling silver pocket watch with a makers mark on the case for John Fleckner (c. 1875). The watch back has an engraved shield inside a garter belt within a field of guilloché. This watch requires a key to wind.
Case Metal Type: Sterling Silver
Dial: White clock face, black Roman numerals, slender gold tone hands, a seconds sub-dial, and imprinted with “2” in red over ‘721’ in black.
Movement: mechanical
Serial Number: 2/721
Markings On Inside: Lion Passant, Panther in Sheild (London city mark), Script ‘U’ in rounded square, ‘2’, ‘721’, and ‘JF’ inside impressed diamond. The Lion Passant and ‘U’ marks are repeated outside on the knob.
