First Trade Edition of "In Country Sleep" by Dylan Thomas

A 1952 first trade edition of In Country Sleep by Welsh poet Dylan Thomas. The book, published in 1952 by New Directions of New York City, features the Thomas’s best known work ‘Do not go gentle Into that good night’ as well as the poems ‘Over Sir John’s Hill’, ‘Poem on His Birthday’, ‘Lament’, ‘In the White Giant’s Thigh’ and ‘In Country Sleep’. The hardcover book includes original dust jacket with a protective plastic liner. This first trade edition of In Country Sleep was part of Jane Fonda’s estate and purchased from an Atlanta auction house in 2014.
