A sterling silver flatware set for twelve by Wallace Silversmiths of Wallingford, CT (established 1871). This is in the Charlotte Schwartz Hallet designed Golden Aegean Weave pattern, first introduced in 1971, which features a die-pressed woven band across the shoulder and at the tip of the straight handle stems, that has been bordered by vermeil stripes. This sixty-eighty piece set includes twelve dinner knives, twelve dinner forks, twelve salad forks, twelve teaspoons, and twelve place spoons. These are also accompanied by a selection of utensils including one butter spreader, two gravy ladles, one sugar spoon, one pierced bowl serving spoon, one cold meat fork, one serving spoon, and one pie server. The forks and spoons are stamped on the reverse ‘Wallace W Sterling’ in a long cartouche, and the teaspoons are additionally stamped ‘Aegean Weave’. The total approximate weight, excluding the dinner knives, pie server and butter spreader with stainless steel blades, is 83.49 ozt.
