Hand Knotted Qashqai Area Rug

Item Details

A hand knotted Qashqai area rug. It has three central medallions in black and red with traditional white patterning in the center. The crenellated lozenge is scarlet red with a wonderfully colorful decorative peacocks, a variety of other birds, symbols, eight-pointed stars, oak leaves, and bisected floral elements in a range of colors. There is a traditional matching medallion in each corner. It has overcast edges and dyed, cropped wool fringe to each end. Unmarked.
