Handwoven Polish Pictorial Accent Rug
Item Details
A handwoven Polish pictorial accent rug. This flatweave wool rug features a picture of royal figures on a carriage being pulled by a horse on a field of patterned grass and flowers and offers a border with a repeating rosette pattern. The rug is in a palette of orange, blue, yellow, brown, grey, red, and cream and is finished wth overcast edges and a cotton warp fringe at either end. A tag is affixed to the reverse marked ‘Made in Poland’.
Condition
- some discoloration; shows wear throughout; attached to a wooden bar with two eyelets to attach a hanging wire; no wire attached.
