A watercolor painting on paper abstract synchromies titled Untiled VIIby listed Cincinnati artist Beth Hertz (b.1920). Executed in 1991, this work depicts energetic and assertive wide marks in bold red and green colors applied in a manner that created a ripple effect. The center composition is surrounded by a vibrant canary yellow. The painting is unframed, float-mounted on a white mat, protected by a clear vinyl wrap. A card to the verso has artist signature and date of the piece. A label to the verso identifies artist, title, date, media.

Beth Hertz’s is known for her Synchromism style paintings in which color and sound share similar qualities. By pairing color scales the visual work creates the same sensation as music. Hertz’s paintings can be found in museums as well as private and corporate collections in New York, Massachusetts, Ohio, Iowa, and California.
