An Indian painting of the Hindu deity Krishna. This tapestry features four Indian women, in traditional clothing and jewelry, collecting water from a river. One of the women is gesturing to a Krishna, indicated by his blue skin, who is holding her pot of water. The painting has vivid coloring depicting the Indian flora and fauna, including water lilies and peacocks, in the valley between two hills. The edge of the work is framed with orange flowers and green leaves with a gold trim.

Condition

Some wear to corners, some creasing and damage to surface.
