A limited edition color lithograph by well listed British artist Patrick Caulfield (1936 – 2005) of a street lamp. The print shows the lamp in black with green and white panes against a light yellow background. The striking feature of the image is the elaborate shadow the lamp is casting on the background. The print is signed and numbered ‘1/50’ in pencil in the lower right margin. It is in a white mat behind plexiglass in a narrow silver tone frame. Patrick Caulfield is best known for his vivid paintings featuring a juxtaposition of minimalist and photorealist elements. His work is featured in several international collections including the Tate Gallery of London, the National Museum of Wales, and the National Gallery of Australia.
Condition
print is in good condition. some scuffs to frame and minor scratches to plexiglass.
