Joe Tilson Mixed Media "Sea Mantra"

A signed limited edition etching and color aquatint with collage elements by well-listed British pop artist Joe Tilson (b.1928) titled Sea Mantra. The work has a repeating grid of squares with the word SEA to each in dark blue green, a metal clip to the top center with twine hanging through the center of the piece hooked to a metal cutout square. It is numbered 73/75 to the lower left corner in pencil and signed by the artist and dated 1979 in pencil to the lower right corner. The work is presented in a silver tone metal frame and under plexi-glass. Joe Tilson is best known for his sculptures, paintings, and prints featuring very intriguing designs, often with bright, vibrant color palettes.
Condition
print is in good condition. there is a spider carcass under the glass on the lower margin of the print. some scuffs to frame and minor scratches to plexiglass.
