Shirrell Graves Mixed Media Airbrushed Pochoirs of Birds
Item Details
A grouping of original mixed media airbrushed pochoirs with watercolor accents on paper by well-listed American artist Shirrell Graves (New York/California; 1884-1954). These two works on paper feature a palette of salmon pink, hunter green and navy blue to depict a flamingo posing near an overgrowth of palm trees, while the other shows a great blue heron grazing behind cattails. An artist signature is seen in blue paint towards the bottom right corner. Work is presented unframed.
Condition
- edges of paper bent; tears to corners of paper; pencil inscriptions found in lower margins of paintings; discoloration present; blue heron painting has tape affixed to top and bottom edge.
