A selection of English tableware featuring two His Majesty serving platters by Johnson Brothers and service for twelve of Mason’s Watteau Brown English ironstone transferware. The platters feature brown transfer patterns of a turkey outdoors that are hand painted with colorful accents. Within the selection of Mason’s Watteau Brown, there are twelve dinner plates, dessert plates, teacups and saucers. The white ceramic pieces have rims that feature embossing and scalloped edges, and decoration includes applied brown tone scenes of figures outdoors in nature and floral clusters. The pieces are marked ’Mason’s, Watteau, England’ to the underside.
Condition
- some chipping; surface scratches; could benefit from a light cleaning.
