A signed artist’s proof aquatint etching titled Woods View II by listed American artist and printmaker Robert Bero (1941-2007). This detailed etching depicts a forest scene featuring a large grouping of very thin trees with various foliage on the ground, which is entirely done in a shade of dark brown on a beige background. This piece is pencil signed by the artist in the lower right margin with the title in the center and “Artist’s Proof VI” written in the lower left corner. The print has a single white mat and is housed behind glass in a simple metal frame with a wire for hanging to the verso. Robert Bero is best known for his etchings and detailed woodcuts featuring landscapes and various trees. Bero’s work has been exhibited at numerous esteemed institutions and museums including the Library of Congress and the Smithsonian.
Condition
Print appears to be in good condition. some scuffs to frame and minor scrapes to plexiglass. Not examined outside frame.
