An original oil painting on canvas by well-renowned impressionistic landscape artist Lewis Henry Meakin (British/American, 1850 – 1917) titled Cape Anne Shore. The painting depicts a rocky coastline with grass-covered cliff and distant seaside town to background left. Signed by Meakin in red paint to lower left. Housed without glass inside a giltwood frame with beveled edge and gadrooned interior border. A wire for hanging and exhibition labels with title of the work are affixed to verso.
