Hand Painted Japanese Jewelry Box

A hand painted Japanese jewelry box. This black painted box features Japanese designs. There is a central compartment that opens to reveal a lift up tray and mirror. On either side of the central section are two lidded sections. Below are two drawers with tassel pulls. The box is lined in orange cloth. The box also has a music feature. The back is marked ‘M.M. Japan’. The paint is chipped in places.
