T. Sutherland Engraving After Henry Alken Works
Item Details
A grouping of engravings by T. Sutherland after original works by Henry Alken. Included are hand-colored prints on heavy rag paper of Breaking Cover, Full Cry and The Death, all of which depict a search party consisting of horses, dogs and people hunting for a fox. They feature a hand-embossed plate mark, in addition to an inscription denoting artist, publisher and title in the lower margins.

- smudges visible on prints; pencil inscription found on lower right corner; curling to edges

- measures all three prints stacked for shipping; sheet size approximately the same for all prints; plate sizes all identical, measuring approximately 17.25" w x 9.75" h.
