Hand-Painted Ancient Greek Style Pitcher

Item Details

A ceramic pitcher in the style of Ancient Greece by an unknown potter. This hand-painted piece features a flared lip spout, a narrow neck, and a stepped flared pear shaped body over a short base, and a scrolling handle at the neck. A figure has been painted on one side surrounded by sparse foliates against a ground of mottled ochre, with black geometric banding at the top. A silver tone lock is attached around the handle.

- minor surface wear and could use some cleaning.
