Abel B. Eastman Belfast Grandfather Clock
Item Details
An Abel B. Eastman Belfast grandfather clock, George IV, in mahogany and veneers, circa 1820. The clock features three finials atop an arched, carved bonnet. The face and moon dial are presented behind a glass panel, key lock door. The face consists of Roman Numeral numbering and a second hand dial. Curved, ribbed accents reside on either side of the solid wood, beveled key lock door that opens up to the weights and pendulum. The curved moulding connects to the base pedestal supported by four bracket feet, with spectacular repeating half circle band inlay at the base of the trunk. The clock is finished in a mahogany stain. Includes lock mechanism and winder.
