A hand knotted Turkmen soumak accent rug. This small rug features two large diamond medallions on a white ground with rams horn motif in shades of blue, scarlet, taupe, green and apricot. It features hooked motifs in the main border in the filed colors, with a double-cross style element in the guard borders. It features a Yomud-style ‘C’ crescent motif in the main border at each end in the same palette. This colorful rug features red, navy, blue, beige, white, and other shades throughout. Finished with overcast edges and twisted cotton fringe to either end. Unmarked.
