A collection of Rattlesnake Island stamps and more. Rattlesnake Island is an 85-acre island located on Lake Erie near Put-In-Bay, 11 miles northeast of Port Clinton, Ohio. The islands local post was launched on August 27, 1966 with rectangular stamps. From 1967 to 1989 triangular stamps were issued. This lot contains the first 1966 issue with 6 rectangular stamps, second issue in 1967 with 6 individual triangular stamps and one mini sheet 5cent stamps, third issue in 1968 with 6 individual triangular stamps, and fourth issue in 1969 with 5 individual triangular stamps. Also included in the group are 1970 triangular floral photo stamps. Additionally the lot contains a number of various U.S. Postage stamps, both uncirculated and canceled.

Condition

All Rattlesnake Island stamps are uncirculated as are many of the accompanying U.S. Postage stamps. Group does include canceled stamps and stamps affixed to carrier sheets.
