A group of four art reference books. This set includes a hardcover edition of Artists as Illustrators: An International Dictionary With Signatures and Monograms, 1800-Present by John Castagno, published by the Scarecrow Press in 1989; a hardcover copy of_The Book of Fine Prints_ by Carl Zigrosser, published by Crown Publishers in 1956; and more. Also included is a 1986 edition of A Book of Postcards from a Century of Illustration: The Early Years 1880-1910 by Walt and Roger Reed, published by Madison Square Press.
Condition
- light edge wear throughout; minor page discoloration to most books; none of the postcards have been removed or marked; The Book of Fine Prints has considerable tearing and fading to the dust jacket, some water damage and stains throughout, a previous owner’s name to the interior, and bumped spine ends; Artists as Illustrators has a label taped to the spine; Art Conservation has a few stains and a decal to the cover; Encyclopædia of Drawing has a few stains and small tears to the dust jacket.
