This collection features seven books including a softbound copy of Principles of Art History by Henrich Wölfflin, translated by M.D. Hottinger, and published by Dover Publications in 1950; a softbound copy of The Geometry of Art and Life by Matila Ghyka and published by Dover Publications in 1977; a softbound copy of The Humanities Handbook by Joseph Satin and published by Holt, Rinehart, and Winston, Inc. in 1969; and softbound copies of Readings in Art History volumes one and two, edited by Harold Spencer, and published by Charles Scribner’s Sons in 1969.
Condition
- to fair; edgewear throughout; Principles of Art History has name of previous owner written in black ink on first page; Meaning in the Visual Arts has a loose binding and detached pages; The Geometry of Art and Life has “Hertz” written in black ink on the first page; The Humanities Handbook has “Hertz” written in black ink on the front cover; Readings in Art History volume one and two both have “Hertz” written in teal ink on the first page; Report and Studies in the History of Art 1968 has “A. Cummings” written in red ink on the front cover.
