An original acrylic painting on canvas board by 20th-century Cincinnati artist Carolyn Zimmerman (born 1903), titled Splash of Autumn. This landscape work depicts a cluster of trees and underbrush at the edge of a wood, peaking in their autumn color transformation. The painting is signed to the lower right. It is matted in white and wrapped in acetate for safe keeping. Zimmerman was a member of the Cincinnati School of Painters, studied at the Cincinnati Art Academy, and was married to famed Cincinnati painter Carl Zimmerman.
