Vintage Cigarette Tins

Item Details

A pair of vintage cigarette tins. One tin is yellow and red, and features an embossed lid design of two royal figures in profile; this tin is labeled ’Player’s Navy Cut Cigarettes; ‘Mild’.’ The other tin is blue, with a stylized design of a cigarette tip in white and beige, and is labeled ‘Ardath; Cork Tipped; Virginia.’ The inside of the latter tin is marked ‘Ardath Tobacco Co., Ltd., London; Manufacturers of State Express Cigarettes.’

Condition

- scratches and scuffs; partial Canadian excise label on Player’s tin; tarnish to inside of Ardath tin; general wear consistent with age.
