Pair of Chinese Mother-of-Pearl and Carved Stone Pictures
Item Details
A pair of Chinese mother-of-pearl and carved stone pictures. The pair depicts branches of flowers, with insects and animals, which are made of differently colored carved stone pieces in green, peach, pink and cream. The green colored stone appears to be a type of nephrite jade or other stone, with dyed or natural mother-of-pearl or shell. The upper right corners have inscriptions in mother-of-pearl. Both pieces are housed under glass, in black lacquered wood frames with brass hanging pieces at the tops. No maker’s marks.

- both frames appear to have black electrical tape on top to keep glass from sliding out
