This set includes a hardcover first edition of an exhibition catalogue from the Los Angeles Museum of Art titled The Spiritual in Art: Abstract Painting 1890-1985, organized by Maurice Tuchman and published by Abbeville Press in 1986. Also included is a paperback copy of Concerning the Spiritual in Art by Wassily Kandinsky, published by George Wittenborn and reprinted in 1964 by Speed-O-Lite Offset Company; a hardcover first edition of Wanderings: Chaim Potok’s History of the Jews, published by Alfred A. Knopf in 1978; and a hardcover copy of Islamic Patterns: An Analytical and Cosmological Approach by Keith Critchlow, published by Schocken Books in 1976.

Condition

- light edge wear and scratches throughout; minor page discoloration; most are marked to the cover or interior with a previous owner’s name; Wanderings is price-clipped and has an inscription to the dust jacket flap; the cover of Concerning the Spiritual in Art is discolored, peeling, and bowed.
