A group of eight books on early and Renaissance Christian art and iconography. This collection includes a hardcover copy of The Icon by Kurt Weitzmann et al., published by Dorset Press in 1987; a hardcover edition of Early Christian Art by Pierre du Bourguet, published by Reynal & Company in 1971; and more. Also included are two hardcover books with illustrations by Dean Cornwell, published by Cosmopolitan Book Company in 1926 and 1928; these are titled The City of the Great King and Other Places in the Holy Land and The Man of Galilee: Twelve Scene from the Life of Christ.

Condition

- light edge wear and scratches throughout; a few bent corners; some discoloration; most books have a bookplate, blind stamp, or are inscribed with a previous owner’s name; Early Christan Art has small tears and scratches to the edges of the dust jacket; Late Antique and Early Christian Book Illumination has some tearing at the spine cap; library decal to spine of Memlinc; Corpus Rubenianum Ludwig Burchard volume has a torn plastic sleeve; The Man of Galilee is missing its spine and has heavy discoloration to the page edges; The City of the Great King has broken hinges and some staining to the exterior.
