A pair of oak captain chairs from Marietta Chair Company. These barrel designed chairs combine burgundy leather with with oak in a dark stain with a semi’gloss finish. The back is done in a burgundy in a crackle finish, tufting and hammer head accents around the base carried through to the back. The arm rests are curved and smooth set on turned spindles set on a smooth seat. The legs are turned and splayed with boxed spindles accented by two front turned spindles and crossed metal rods . Underneath is a label Marietta Chair Company Marietta, Ohio, Long Life Furniture Builders Since 1856, Number 866, Tudor :Oak with hand written number and name.
Condition
Both chairs have solid frames with worn leather and finish throughout.
