A group of eight books regarding the American Ashcan school, an artistic movement that focused mainly on urban subjects during the early part of the 20th century. This group features the two volume set John Sloan’s Oil Paintings: A Catalogue Raisonné by Rowland Elzea published Newark: University of Delaware Press, copyright 1991, along with David Scott’s John Sloan: Paintings, Prints and Drawings, published New York: Watson-Guptill Publications. There are three works on William Glackens, including an eponymous book by William H. Gerdts, copyright 1996 Ft. Lauderdale Museum of Art.
