Item Details

An early 20th-century Chippendale-style desk by the Monitor Furniture Company (founded 1919), stamped to inside drawer. The mahogany case features a drop-front which forms a writing surface, above four drawers with serpentine fronts and stands on four claw and ball feet. It’s fixed interior has six vertical mail slots, five shallow short drawers, flanking hidden document slots and a prospect door with fan motif.
