A hand colored engraving of St Mary-le-Bow Church in London. St Mary-le-Bow is an historic church rebuilt after the Great Fire of 1666 by Sir Christopher Wren in the main east–west thoroughfare of London, known as Cheapside. According to tradition, to be a true Cockney you must be born within earshot of the sound of the bells of St Mary-le-Bow, ‘Bow Bells.’ This unsigned piece is on paper and is unframed.
