A framed oil portrait of Daniel Phelps Wood. This oil painting is of Major General Daniel P. Wood, who commanded the Sixth division of the National Guard in the 1870s. He is depicted with white hair and beard and dressed in a black suit. The painting is presented in a giltwood frame. A small placard along the bottom of the frame reads ‘Daniel Phelps Wood 1819-1891’. A newspaper clipping about Wood is tucked into the back of the frame. There is also a hanging wire to the back of the frame.

Condition

frame has scratches and pieces missing, paint has craquelure.
