A hand-colored engraving of a map. This map depicts the Virginia and Maryland coastline. It is marked ‘By H. Moll Geographer’. Herman Moll, (1654 – 1732) was a London cartographer, engraver, and publisher. It is presented in a wood frame, under glass, with a white mat, and the verso has hand written information and wire for hanging.

- residue on glass, discoloration to print, surface wear to frame
