Chinese Silver and Porcelain Shard Box

Chinese jewelry box made from the shards of porcelain vases and silver toned metal. This small jewelry box was fashioned from the broken shards of antique porcelain and set in the lid of an ornate silver toned box. Supposedly the shards were collected during the cultural revolution, when large numbers of antique porcelain pieces were smashed in accordance with the law.
