Early 20th-Century Sterling and German Silver Coin Purses
Item Details
A group of early 20th-century sterling silver and German silver coin purses. Included is a British sterling silver coin purse with a divided red interior. The purse is marked with British sterling marks and includes a maker’s mark for Joseph Gloster and a Birmingham date mark of 1905. Also included is a German silver coin purse marked ‘German Silver’ along the interior and a sterling silver coin purse marked ‘Sterling’ along the interior. The sterling coin purse features a brown interior divided into various organization pockets.
Condition
- age appropriate wear. There are signs of discoloration the the red lining of the British sterling silver purse. There is an inscription in pencil on the interior of the bag marked “Sterling”.
