Antique French Couaillet Mantel Clock with Mercury Pendulum
Item Details
An antique, brass French Couaillet mantel clock with a mercury-filled pendulum, circa early 19th century. This clock has a brass housing with beveled glass panels to all four sides with hinged doors to the front and back. The clock dial is white with pink and green floral swags and black Arabic numerals and hands, inside of a brass bezel. Every half-hour, the clock chimes once. Stamped to the back of the movement with Couaillet circular mark and "Medaille d’Or" or gold medal.
