Mario Micossi "Veduta a Firenze" Signed Aquatint
Item Details
A limited edition aquatint etching titled Veduta a Firenze by Italian artist Mario Micossi (1922- ). Micossi worked as a cartoonist for The New Yorker in the 1960s and is currently most known for his aquatint etchings depicting Italian cityscapes. This aquatint etching depicts a view of Firenze, Italy focusing on Il Duomo di Firenze. It is hand-signed and titled in pencil to the lower margin along with other markings including P. d’A (Prova d’Artista). The piece is set in a white mat and presents in a giltwood frame.
Condition
Light wear to frame, consistent with age and use.
