A framed circa 1970s batik by prominent Sri Lankan batik artist Vipula Dharmawardena. The textile piece depicts a still life botanical illustration, showing a flowering date palm. The work features a palette of orange, green and brown hues set against a field of cream. The image is signed in block to the lower right. The piece is presented without glass in a wooden frame with wire to the back for hanging.
