A signed original oil painting on canvas of a portrait of a Rabbi. An orthodox Jewish man wearing a fur shtreimel and a tallit, or prayer shawl, is depicted in this oil portrait. Signed to the upper left, possibly the work of Samuel Marwys. The painting is displayed in a gold tone wooden frame with hanging hardware to the verso.
Condition
- craquelure present, minor wear to the frame.
