A late 16th to early 17th century Japanese scroll of a bird of prey by Kanō Sanraku (狩野 山樂, 1559-1636). Depicted is a bird of prey with a hooked beak, yellow eye, and long talons perched on a branch. This piece is signed ‘Sanraku ga’ (山樂画) to the lower right corner. This piece is mounted on a tab silk brocade with floral accents. Modern mounting and wooden knobs are present to the piece. This piece comes presented in a rectangular wooden box.

- some chipping; creases; and paint loss present to the piece.
