Fine Qing Dynasty Daoguang Era Porcelain Buddhist Ashtamangala Bowl

A fine Qing Dynasty, Daoguang era (1821-1850) porcelain ashtamangala porcelain bowl. The finely formed bowl is delicately decorated with the ashtamangala, the Eight Auspicious symbols of Buddhism, in vermilion. The symbols include a conch shell, an endless knot, the two goldfish, a lotus bloom, a parasol, a vase, the dharmachakra wheel, and a victory banner. The bottom of the cup bears a Daoguang Mark (大清道光年製 Da Qing Daoguag nian zhi), and likely date from the period.
