An Egyptian-style statuette in cultured marble by Artisans Guild International. This piece depicts pharaoh Akhenaten of the 18th dynasty, known for his attempt to establish a new religion. His body is embellished with gold leaf; he is depicted wearing a stylized version of the double crown of Upper and Lower Egypt and holding the crook and flail. The statuette is mounted on a square base marked ‘Artisans Guild International/ Gardena, CA 90249’ to the underside.

Condition

- one arm is broken off; scratches and wear to gold leaf.
