Circa 1930s Effanbee and Arranbee Composition Dolls
Item Details
A pair of circa 1930s composition dolls with molded hair and painted features. This set includes an Effanbee Patsyette doll and an Arranbee Nancy doll. The Patsyette doll has brown eyes and wears a short house robe and jade green booties; her back is marked ‘Effanbee Patsyette Doll.’ The Nancy doll has blue eyes and wears a red ‘Shirley Temple’ dress with white stars; her back is marked ‘Arranbee Doll Co.’
Condition
- considerable cracking and chipping to composition surface; moderate scuffs, stains, and paint wear throughout; stains and fraying to clothing; some joints are loose; Nancy has a large, cracked dent to the left side of her head and her right foot is broken off; Nancy has broken fingertips.

- measures items as a pair; Effanbee doll is 9.5" tall; Arranbee doll is 12" tall.
