Franklin Mint "Star Trek" 25th Anniversary Chess Set

A Star Trek-themed chess set, produced by the Franklin Mint to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the 1966 television show. This two-dimensional chess set features a light blue glass board with a navigational motif, on a raised silver tone base which also includes storage for the pieces. The gold tone chessmen depict protagonists such as Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock, while the opposing silver tone chessmen depict antagonists such as Khan Noonien Singh and the Gorn. The base is marked with the Starfleet logo and the words ‘25th Anniversary Edition.’
